We organise your diving trips to the best dive destinations with sunshine and amazing marine life. We will make our passion your passion.
We have selected the best dive operators and of course you will be guided by your Mangamar Instructors who know the destination. During the trip we will do a fish ID workshop, so you know the marine life you are about to encounter.
As we lived and Dived in Playas del Coco for the last 18 years, our first trip this year will be to Costa Rica. Costa Rica has full day of sunshine with high temperatures, so all you need to bring is shorts & T-shirts.
The diving is prestine in May, water temperatures 25-28C. (thermoclines might appear). As May is the transition month of the famous Murcielago and Catalina islands, we can do both!
The Bats Islands (Murcielago) are known for offer a mesmerizing diving experience with one of the ocean’s most captivating creatures: the bullsharks.
Bull sharks are pelagic animals which means that they can travel large distances, they come to the Bats islands for mating, therefore they are definitely not interested in you, but only in finding a mate for the season. We will take you to the dive spot The Big Scare where they are most likely to be found. ( of course there is never a guarantee) We will do 2 dives here followed by a third dive at Black Rock. Black Rock is a pinnacle with an abundance of fish, from small snappers to majestic spotted eagle rays. You will be surrounded by big schools that it sometimes is difficult to spot your buddy. The islands are 30m deep in a national protected park and minimum Advanced certification is required.
The Catalina Islands are a diving experience with one of the ocean’s most captivating creatures: the oceanic manta ray. You will an opportunity to meet giant Manta rays (4 to 7m in diameter) that come to the area from November to May for the famous cleaning stations.
The local dives are full of marine life, rays, white tip reef sharks, morena, turtles, and tons of fish.
