Mangamar Dive Center is your dive center in Cabo de Palos, Spain. Whether you want to learn how to dive, enjoy guided dives, or start a professional dive career, we’re here to help every step of the way. As a PADI 5★ Career Development Center, we have our own in-house Course Directors and a highly experienced professional team dedicated to giving you the best diving experience in Spain.
Located right in the harbor of Cabo de Palos, our boats are just steps from our door. We head out six times a day for single-tank dives, making it easy to fit diving into your schedule. Our dive center features a fully stocked retail shop, spacious changing rooms, and hot showers for after your dive. You’ll also find a convenient rinsing area for your equipment and a comfortable terrace where you can relax and enjoy a coffee between dives.
Cabo de Palos
Due to its location and shallow reefs, this area has long been an obstacle for passing ships. During the First and Second World Wars, many vessels found their final resting place here, making wreck diving one of the most popular activities in the region.
The Islas Hormigas Marine Reserve has been a protected natural underwater area since 1995. For many divers, it is considered one of the best dive sites in Europe—and without a doubt, the best in Spain. The reserve offers an incredible variety of dive environments, including historic wrecks, deep drop-offs, underwater pinnacles, and large schools of fish, as well as marine life such as Mola mola during the summer months. It is one of the best-preserved marine parks in the Mediterranean.
Access to the reserve is limited, and Spanish law requires all divers to have personal dive insurance. Insurance can be arranged at our dive center for €10 per day. Please remember to bring your dive certification and personal identification with you.
